About Mangiamo

Imagine an evening where culinary art and passion waltz together on your palate; that's what Mangiamo offers. Nestled in the heart of North Providence, this delightful gem is more than just an eatery—it's an experience. Situated at 1958 Smith St, North Providence, RI 02911, Mangiamo warmly embraces those seeking comfort food with a twist of elegance.

Walking into Mangiamo, the atmosphere hits first—cozy yet vibrant, with the kind of warmth that feels like a favorite old sweater welcoming a long-lost friend. The decor, a fine blend of rustic charm and modern accents, sets the stage for the feast that lies ahead. Expect lively chatter and the clinking of glasses harmonizing in the background, animating an inviting aura.

The menu, a testament to creativity, satiates even the most discerning taste buds. Fans of classic Italian will find solace in perfectly executed pasta dishes. Give the "True North Carbonara" a try—an exquisite play on the traditional recipe with an unexpected touch of local flavors. Those adventurous enough should not skip the "Nautilus Risotto," a dish that promises the subtle smokiness of the sea with every bite. However, it's the "Mangiamo's Pizza" that really steals the show. Infused with house-made ricotta, hints of truffle oil, and local organic mushrooms, each slice tells a story.

Fresh ingredients and locally sourced produce remain at the heart of Mangiamo's culinary philosophy. It's the noticeable reason why, despite a bustling line often seen outside, diners are eager to return time and again. While desserts might not be on the first page of recommendations, they still deserve a nod. The tiramisu is quite the delight—airy, not too sweet, and a perfect close to the meal.

Conveniently positioned amidst the charming locales of Rhode Island, Mangiamo is applauded by locals and travelers alike. Several online reviews rave about the impeccable service and the genuine warmth of the staff. It's obvious, with this level of care, how effortlessly it converts first-timers into regular patrons.

In conclusion, Mangiamo is more than just a place to satiate hunger. It forms the backdrop to cherishable moments with food that comforts and pleases. For those wandering near North Providence, a visit promises a flavorful journey worth embarking upon.

Seriously the best rolls for their sandwiches ever. Really really good bread. A small is still a big sandwich. They have Italian pastries and standard pastries like pies, cookies, brownies and lemon squares. Multiple soups. Bakery pizza strips. Dough boys. Chips. Everything. The seats are cushioned here and they have outlets along the walls. Most of the tables are set up for two but a larger group came in and they pushed a few together to make a big table. Everything on my grinder was super fresh. Prosciutto was perfect, seemed to be just sliced; not slimy like some places. I had the Gio sandwich but there's a Vegetarian version called the Lorena as well. Definitely recommend just for the bread alone. Best bread I’ve had on a sandwich like ever

Been wanting to try this spot out for a while now, was in the area and it was lunch. Fresh and made to order. Daily specials and take home dinners, I got the Diablo chicken cutlet which was delicious. I'm definitely coming back to try something different next time.

High quality sandwich with Italian meats and unbelievable bread! I reheated their Sophia sandwich ($13 I think) in my oven perfectly and it hit the spot. It has salami, capicola and pepperoni with provolone and veggies. Their bread though really took me by surprise. It’s flavorful, crispy on the outside and has a super airy inside. Legit little Italian spot! **** My edit for recent trip here didn’t copy but my photos showed up. I got the small Simbaldo during RI Food Fights. It was so damn good! Stuffed so well, great meat and excellent bread. *****

... I'm trying to go there SOON!!! I've tried a calzone with spinach as well as the cold pasta salad. I think I reviewed before, but I'm on the other end of town and working nights.... 😢

This is the best grinder I’ve ever had- I’d never had such a flavorful sausage and pepper grinder made with delicious freshly made bread. My girlfriend’s pepperoni and cheese calzone hit the spot too. Definitely will be coming here again! You can taste nonna’s love in every bite :)
